The Goals of the Sarawak Dolphin Project are to:
1• Collect important baseline data on the seasonal distribution, population size, habitat use and conservation needs of dolphins in Sarawak.
2•Work with relevant goverment bodies to apply the study results to develop effective conservation and management plans
3• Provide training and field experience for local Malaysian scientists as well as opportunities for volunteers to become involved in dolphin conservation activities.
4• Raise awareness of marine mammals and their conservation needs in the local population by disseminating findings through scientific and popular press, and community workshops.
